In addition to her career in real estate, Margaret strongly believes in sevice to the community. Some of her many civic involvements include serving as Chairman of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce, President and Drive Chairman of United Way, Chairman of the Citizens Advisory Board, Vice Chairman of the Unity Health Center Foundation, District Vice President of the Oklahoma Association of Realtors. She also serves as a board member of the Mabee-Gerrer Museum, Project Safe, American Heart Association, Kiwanis, Shawnee Police Foundation and St. Gregory's Board of Trustees.

Margaret has receiveed numerous awards. She was selected as one of the top 50 Women in Oklahoma by the Journal Record, recipient of the Sam Walton Business Leader of the Year, Realtor of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Working Woman of the Year, Community Service Award and the prestigous Gordon Richards Service Award, to name a few. She is listed in Who's Who of Professional Entrepreneurs (2004) and Who's Who of American Business Women (2005) and has been invited to be in  "Outstanding People of the 21st Century, First Edition".  She has also been honored by the state legislature in recognition of outstanding achievements.
